Boy the golden whippet

Boy is a singing whippet. I didn't actually know that whippets can be golden before I met Boy. I didn't know that whippet could sing either.

Boy is 5 years old. He is a very nice dog to be around.

Whippets are so photogenic that it's quite easy to
get stunning results.

Star

Star the horse is very emotional and was annoyed that I didn't have any food for him when I went up the hill to photograph him. He galloped and threw his body around crazily and ended up going for a roll!

As a pet photographer I strive to work with a large variety of animals. The larger the variety the better. I just have to watch out for the snake's venom and the horse's kick!

My dog Milo

Milo is a 13 year old German Short-haired pointer. As he is a highly intelligent dog he is quite co-operative during the photo
shoots. I mean he works around me rather than the typical
scenario of the pet photographer working around the pet. This is also due to the loyal nature of GSP's.

I am lucky to have such a photogenic dog. As you can see I am photographed Milo in the backyard where he spends most of his life. I enjoy playing with nature and do so with the intention to make beautiful photos. Furthermore, I believe people respond much to nature and would like to see their pets amongst it.

About Me

Those who have seen my photographic art works for the Graduate show would find this to be far from a mild change. Back then I focused on the concepts of horror, chaos and racism. Now I aim to capture aesthetically pleasing and often light hearted photos of pets.

My aim is contribute original ideas to the world of pet photography. I would like to break the rules for the sake of art and see how people react to this. I don’t just want to illustrate pets as being cute and fluffy but also as having a spirit, strong feelings and fluctuating moods.

I am willing to be a versatile pet photography at the moment, for the sake of giving my clients what they want. I am interested in making photographic “art works” of pets but only if that's what my clients want. If they want portraitures or typical show dog photos I am more than happy to adapt to their needs.

Adelaide Pet Photography

This is an example of how I can use digital manipulation to improve the overall photo. Leopard prints are effective backgrounds for most dog photos as we subconsciously associate dogs with the wild.

This Beagle, Storm lives in Queensland with my cousin and his family. I shot a series of photos of Storm and her Jack Russel buddy, Patch. It was quite hot up there when I photographed the series this Summer. Luckily Storm and Patch didn't appear to be too hot and bothered in the photographs.
